Bayern's Breno being investigated for arson

09/23/2011 - Munich, Germany (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Bayern Munich defender Breno is facing an arson investigation after a fire at his house, according to district attorney Thomas Steinkraus-Koch.

The 21-year-old Brazilian was not seriously injured, although he did suffer smoke inhalation.

Breno was alone in the house at the time of the fire, while his wife and children returned shortly after the incident.

"Based on the information we have, we believe that the fire was not an accident," Steinkraus-Koch was quoted as saying by TZ. "Mister Vinicius Rodrigues Borges [Breno] is suspected of arson."

The cause of the fire is now being investigated by Munich police and fire authorities, while the damage is estimated to be between $675,000 and $1.3 million.
